On the twelfth day of Newton: slowing down

So, about now is when the holiday energy line graph starts taking a downward dive, mission drift sets in, and things get a little raggedy.  It's not really "New Year's" anymore in any reasonable sense, but there's probably still some people you haven't seen since the ball dropped, so you can't quite stop saying "Happy New Year." It's clearly not a holiday anymore, or even that weird week between holidays, but even if you have gone into work it is a weekend so once again you're at home in your pajamas at noon. You feel like you should be turning over a new leaf and putting holiday excess behind you and eating right and all that but there's probably still some festive once-a-year food lying around. What better way to commemorate this cheerful malaise with an image that isn't even remotely related to anything holidayish?

Just an excerpted panel from the original Buck Rogers comic strip in which Wilma Deering, in the midst of a dangerous aerial maneuver, takes a moment to address Buck's use of anachronistic vernacular.

Gotta love Wilma.

Yes! So much to love right there... it's been in my consciousness since I first saw it when I was in high school.
